“…Tired. So busy. Where did the time go?” She sat looking at her computer trying to figure out what to write. Her eyes closed as her fingers slipped from the keys.
He walked into the office wondering why he didn’t hear the clacking of keys. He found her asleep in her chair. Gently, he woke her up after saving her work and turning off the computer.
“No buts. Bedtime. Up to early, to long and too late. We both need our sleep.” He helped her out of her clothes and into bed.
“I’ve got stories…” She tried to argue as he curled up around her, pinning her to the bed.
“Yes, and they will still be there in the morning. Go to sleep.”
She mumbled and then fell asleep. The room grew quiet, and the crickets chirped.
